Wild Sunflower

Description

A lone sunflower growing in the badlands at Dinosaur Provincial Park near Brooks, Alberta. Such harsh, hot and dry conditions, but it finds the moisture it needs to produce one flower. What really grabbed me was the fact it was the only color in a sea of greys and browns as far as the eye could see. It normally gets much larger than this, with many flowers, but the struggle to survive allowed it only one flower.
