2025 A year of change
Cant say I am sad to see the end of this year. It was a year fraught with uncertainty as we had decided to put our home up for sale and look for a smaller property to downsize. The first half of the year was trying to get it sold, second part was finding a new house and then the enjoyment of packing moving and unpacking. Not only this, I ended up working full time 5 days a week! The move wasn’t very far! About 1km in total, but still changed cities. We now live in Comox.
Because of all this taking photographs took a back seat. I hardly got out at all other than couple of full moon rises. I did manage some bird photos while at work, but that was about it. To add insult to injury, our first night in our new house our vehicles were broken into and my camera I use as a backup was stolen.
Moving forward to December, we are finally settled in, life is getting back to normal and I have just replaced the stolen camera! The weather this time of the year isn’t the greatest for photos, but it won’t be long before things get better and we have some non rainy days again!
We managed a trip to Ucluelet for three days recently and I did manage to get some photos in one of our favorite areas.
